Shallow and Deep Foundations
Engineering Analytics staff has over 35 years of design experience including extensive experience with expansive and collapsible soils.
Shallow foundation designs include:

Cost-effective retaining wall solutions can provide owners with a long-term solution to difficult site conditions. EA engineers have designed a wide range of retaining walls including MSE walls, tieback walls, soil nail walls, anchored walls, and gravity and cantilever walls. Temporary and permanent walls are designed for urban and rural environments.
Slope Stability/Seepage Analyses
Engineering Analytics provides slope stability and seepage analyses for earthen and rock fill structures, dams, slopes, and landslides. We analyze and model saturated and unsaturated flow conditions using analytical solutions and numerical models to assess the impact of water on slope stability and to design scour stabilization methods.
Roadway Design and Mitigation
The design of flexible and rigid pavements and unimproved road surfaces is performed following local, state, and federal design requirements. Special expertise is provided for pavements on expansive and collapsible soils. Treatment methods include lime, cement, flyash, and reinforcement grid stabilization.
Grading and Drainage
Proper grading is necessary to direct water away from foundations and backfill soils around buildings. EA has extensive experience in designing grading and drainage that uses onsite materials and meets site space and elevation constraints. We also provide third party review of proposed drainage improvements for project sites.
A wide array of instruments is available to monitor subsurface conditions. EA has experience with the installation and monitoring of piezometers, inclinometers, extensometers, vadose zone lysimeters, and other types of instruments.
Construction Observation and Management
During construction, Engineering Analytics can provide construction management, resident engineering, and quality control personnel. Field activities can include borrow material identification, bidding support, submittal review, onsite monitoring, and as-constructed documentation.
